Merry Christmas!

Today marked the first day that ming fly to taiwan for work

ill be all alone.. i really salute those who can sustain LDR ..we just can't!

on normal day we chat online on office hour call each other in between.. 

we spend all our weekend together, we just can't be apart..we depend on each other so much

when i send him off in the airport this morning i cry secretly..so weak right?haha

the last time we apart was 3 years ago he was away to India for 3 month training

this round he will be away for 1 month or to be exact is 2 week coz ill be joining him later due to one way ticket photo shoot..yeah~

I believe God has his own plan for everything, there must be a lesson behind this

at least now we know every apart show us how much we love and need each other 

today gonna be the last day i see him this year! haha drama right

see you next year my dear~

 tho i do not have my husband with me in this festive season

i still have my friends, church members and family..

hope you have a great time spending with your loved ones

been sometimes never had a proper shooting for myself the last one is pre-wedding photos hahha

but that don't count got somebody in the photos!

we used to have our own photoshoot session, ill set the theme and be the model and my photographer aka boyfriend that time will input idea

Guide for pre-wedding photoshoot

A reader mailed me asking me things to prepare before pre-wedding/engagement photo shoot

and this prompt me to write a post regarding this topic

 
hehe i have a pre-wedding shoot taken begining of this year and i also take part in a few conceptual styling and make up in pre-wedding photo shoot

so i think i'm kinda qualify to write this post

pre-wedding photos are really important memory for a married couple especially the women

we can only wear wedding grown once in a life time *officially*.. 

whereas men can always suit up for special occasion 

so here are the guide which i think is very important

Know what you want! 

some may prefer studio shoots, naturals scene, traditional? discuss, share and view as much as you can 

i know lotsa guy just let the girl to decide what she want, but you're not only a vase! you're one of the important role in this set of pictures..i believe guys do have their own ideas .if not at least they know what they can accept and what they don't..girls make them input their ideas in this!

for example..both of you can start collecting reference images from photographer's fan page or bridal studio website..after that go thru the photos together you will know what he looking forward and what you actually prefer..then find a balance..

Set your theme or color scheme!

Themed weddings have become very popular couples can express their shared personal interests thru themes or color! A theme influences your photographer and outfit selections and also your actual day decoration!this will help you to focus your attention, girls are fickle minded..a theme set will help you not to distracted by a number of different design options. This is always beneficial for those really needing to stick to their budget throughout the planning process.

How to know your theme?? wedding is about you and your love one.. its will be good that the theme show your common interest, color or mood..as for me both of us look very childish haha so i don't want a grand/mature wedding so we go for cute and sweet with the color yellow and mint 

after the theme is set you can have one of the set of photos shoot accordingly! so it will be parallel with the actual day! and your invitation cards, wedding favor can have your photos print on it! 

Creating a mood board is very useful in reviewing whether a desired theme will work and this is my mood board 

Pick you favorite photographer

after knowing what you want then pick your photographer!

 i know favorite one can be very expensive but you should list the name and narrowing down your final choice with you partner in terms of budgets and style..

and ask the quote every detailed..be aware of hidden cost especially on the extra photos copies
talk to him about the locations and your theme will be shooting at so they can give specific recommendations

Plan your outfits

Your body type. For women and men both, there is no shortage of information about general body shapes and clothes that will be the most flattering for those body shapes. Put in the effort, and dress accordingly. It is always best to bring a few different outfits so that you can change for your specific location. Wear solids or simple patterns

Make it special!
Another fun way to make your session unique and fun is to bring props to align to your theme!Think about personalize your photos!

Makeup and Hair
Find your make up artist carefully! have your test make up done before the actual day! stick to a nice matte finish powders and eyeshadows for flawless looking skin, it is super easy for shiny/glittery/shimmery makeup to reflect light and make you look oily in a photo.

Enough Rest 
have a enough sleep and rest a week before the shooting day! you don't want to look like panda, don't you?
and do not argue or quarrel with your partner!! this is really important! no matter how good the photographer is he can't photoshop away the angriness/fierce in the face!

Finally, the most important thing to remember about preparing for an engagement session is to be yourself! Dress nice, interact with each other the way you normally would. Goof off, make faces, cuddle, laugh, play.

 In short, have fun!

Most important day of my life

 Its been 2 weeks!
sorry for lack of update..i'm still adjusting my lifestyle as a wife and daugther-in-law
so far so good.. i spend my daytime alone working as usual
sometimes i wake up early to prepare breakfast for hubby (trying to be a good wife) after he goes to work i continue my sleep..haha darn lazy
then we will have dinner at home with the family or with my family..
is blissful they treat me like a princess
hubby will always come back right after his work to keep me accompany..
in-laws will always check whether do i have my lunch..
maid will always sneak in to our room to do all the cleaning when im having meal downstair tho i told her not to coz i can do it myself..
my mum will always call to ask me home or ask me out for lunch..
feel so loved!
so here a little on the actual day..


right: having hard time to decide what necklace should i pair with the gown..till my mom got me this diamond cross tho it look bit plain but i think its meaningful to me

little props for the wedding..

i do not want those classic candle stand with flower thingy so i do my own base with ikea candle.

our door gift..and tumbprint guest frame..im so lucky to found this thumbprint ink exactly my theme color online like 2 days before and the owner is efficiently enough to sent me immediately

the photobooth props.. i have no chance to have pictures taken at the photobooth! sad..but i hope my guest are having fun with it

the moment i feel like a daddy-girl again..so touching and thankful that my dad is willing to walk me down the aisle, coz he's not a Christian at 1st i told him this he refuse 

i'm so amaze how God works..thru the wedding i feel that my dad really love and care of me

and now i have better relationship with him

our bestmans and bridesmaids

we got the bridemaids pretty tutu and ask them to have fun matching with any tops 

with a theme color sasha on waist, bow on the hand and my handmade color-sand filled heartshape glass stick

for the bestmans we got them white and mint polo tees match with handmade bow and pair with grey pant

hehe..i want them to look young and fun..

hubby is having his speech before the ceremony end..

 i'm so emotional that day i started to cry when my father hand me to ming

then another crying when hubby started his speech..and continue crying when i saw my parent is tearing then can't stop crying when i hug my mum when we handover the gifts to them..

and all my make up melts~~~

we have way to go to learn and help each other in the marriage life..

Thanks hubby for all everything to make this happen im a fussy wife i want to do everything by my own and get stress up easily but you always there to comfort me and gives support 

this is a beautiful memories~

next will be the honey moon trip!

Pre-Wedding Photo (Part II)

Actually i've been thinking whether to post the pictures here again

coz i'm sure most of you seen the pictures in fb..

but don't care  i just wanna to keep a copy in my blog too..

The second batch -another casual theme..wanna have a very contrast and bright color so we go for black, red and polka dots match with converse sneakers

first location-Orchard Road..

i don't quite like my make up that day by the make up artist (we hire in Singapore) but it was too late to change

i feel my face become chubbier and the eye make up is too heavy

 

See i told you i look chubby..:(

remember must do trial before the actual day!

this is ok coz from far..hehe..and i love this bustier dress very much!

wanted to wear on my dinner but my mum don't allow.. 

Then we headed to Haji Lane..

found a random bench beside a boutique..and this is what we do best we always love to tickle each other

I'm gonna have my trial make up done this saturday..and now i got this eye-acupuncture on my right eye which i never had it before..arh..such a good timing..any way to cure it?

Minor update

There's tons of stuff to settle for weddings

but both of us are quite busy with works..we don't even have a weekend to sit down and discuss about the wedding stuff last whole month..

So we decide to stop taking in projects especially those that required to work on Saturday on June so we concentrate..

if i have a choice i will not have dinner banquet..that's the most fussy part..

the seat arrangement, stage performance, "yam seng" thingy..

i want a church wedding and luncheon then we just go honeymoon right after that..it's too late after all..hopefully we can plan something fun on that night..rather traditional drinking and makan session

 We started to give out the wedding invites but in very slow-pace 

because i forget the 喜饼 part.. i opt for cupcakes to give together with the invites..but don't know which to go for..i'm not a fan of sugary stuff..any recommendation?

so this is the final of our invitation card

the string is to tie the location map together which also represent "tie the knot"

i'm not very happy with the envelop color..bit out..but no choice..Pantone color code always get me into trouble

the location map is printed on the tracing paper..

my mum keep convince me just print it on normal paper since people will throw it right away the wedding some more the direction is not clear..hahah which is true...but i don't care..

 

our wedding favor is ready too! thanks to lovely Patty from Lullabelle Handmade

i wanted the soap be in green and yellow but i forget it's a handmade and natural product

so we can't add any coloring but Patty try her very best to mix the closest color for us!

Pre-Wedding Photo (Part 1)

I know it's been a while since our pre-wedding photo shoot 

actually im so hesitate to share my own album coz many give high expectation 

i'm afraid i let u guys down..so i went stress up from choosing to editing and even the moment to publish it on One Way Ticket 

so at the end i let my partner to finalize everything and upload it on our site 

 i really wanna thanks my awesome pawsome bestie aka photographer for this beautiful pictures

 she is so supportive and creative!
